Let em see you have fun as they lurk
you care not what was once whole as a hole
don't give a fuck about how they're stuck
this is digital so its not literal
burn baby burn me burn me
random things in mind: eat more fiber, lose some weight, drink more water, get thin, lean mean, be less of an asshole, drink less, smoke less, become a private investigator if sociology fails, lose weight, be less self involved, shy away from becoming an old haggard dilettante, wear more feathers, start having higher expectations in the love situation... (if we weren't fucking could we have been friends?) lose some weight, be less bitter, less cynical, less dark, less cold, less messy, less drunk … will i get what I want yet?
Last Friday we went out briefly for a certain internationally simultaneous event that was as disorganized as it was just daunting… highlights was definitely Le Branche's band "De Signer" playing at Dior Homme… it was the epicenter of hip… later that night I rekindled with my "mother" and "auntie" Jen Sindin and Scar Rouge for her bday.
The weekend was mellow, other than the VMA party at Pali house, I came a bit tipsy and left dead sober, thank go for the sounds of daisy o'dell which kept me sane.
Followed by a wrecked week on Tuesday with 0 expectations due to late invite and no special in particular band we the standard was chill until I was told that "fans" came and I was shock flattered and embraced… little did I know that it was Carles from HRO and Ed from Grizzly Bear. It was a rough night.
Wednesday night I swiftly ran out at 10 to Ana. Bardot was also expected to be slow due to fashion week and the Jewish holidays… you know how hip Jews are right now. At Bardot at 11 it was me, Ana, Mischa, and the newest of British it girls Beth Jeans. After two apple martinis, in an even rush the venue filled in with all the hep cats. Lauren came and we got duper cray. We left at around 1:45 and headed to M bar which was surprisingly hip…
By Friday in an attempt to avoid pretentious prejudice I started the night visiting Jhordan and the rest of the Flaunt's at the unavailing of the new issue of flaunt at the country club projects at the Buck House, as well as a beautiful installation by Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe. it was amazing to be in a tangent space that reflected the shoot so well.
I went to see Marina and the Diamonds at the El Rey with Kelly O, I had only heard a few of her songs which I liked due to its second coming of goldfrapp electronic girl with good voice, but at the show I was glad to see that the music had been adapted to a folky Florence and the Machine mixed with Gogol Bordello backing sound…
tired from fashion week Kelly went home and Sasha and I continued on an adventure to the starting at an awful ciggie at libertine we soon ran to the abbey for a horrendous time amongst the conventional queers… I thrived off of eccentricities I felt uncomfortable, closed in… We left to go to Kimmy Gordon's house where we just sat drank and talked by the fire… this lead to a foggy end at Kitchen 24 and a 5 am night
Come Saturday I was done for… that was until I licked my wounds and ran over to Brittany Blacks for a brief drink celebrating her long awaited 21st hard to believe vie known her since she was a peculiar duck at 14, now she was a peculiar swan.
Then dashing to the Phoenix Party at the Tropicana which was unexpectedly fun as it was overly crowded. I had a hard time navigating and connecting with all those I hadn't seen in nearly 3 days as well as a few foreigners unseen for months…
Initially Sunday was supposed to be my night off from night outs. Nico and I got tea with our friend Marcella... tea only lead to wild trip to drais.
